People thought it wouldn't last, the ballerina, the skater boy. Well neither did the skater boy or the ballerina; "something different we'll see how long this lasts...", they thought.
But giggles turned to laughs, like turned to love and stories turned into a life together. Who knows what the future holds, it's not for either of us to say but whatever it is we will go through it together and that is more than enough for me.
While the term high school sweethearts seems idyllic and straight out of a fairy tale, a lot of work hides behind the term. Especially when those sweethearts leave high school and go to different, distant, colleges. So yes, it's been hard work, and yes, it has always been worth it.

Congratulations! Travis and I are "high school sweethearts," but we have quite a bit to go before we hit ten years, we just hit four. :)
congratulations on 10 years that is no small feat especially with the long distance thing. You guys are too cute and I totally agree that all good relationships require hard work.
I'm super late, but just wanted to say happy 10 years! My parents were also high school sweethearts (literally, they got married while still in high school!) and will be celebrating their 40 year anniversary in September. I wish you and Jon many more years of happiness together :)
