Above is a list of some of the things that I have used on my skin in efforts to get this stupid acne under control. While some of these things made some impact on my skin many/most of them did absolutely nothing. Time after time I would invest in a new treatment with the hopeful feeling of "this is it, goodbye acne!" only to be let down after weeks of waiting for results. And like I said, sometimes, like with giving up dairy, I would get results which would last for a while and then the problem would come back.
Thankfully, and oddly enough, my acne wasn't "that bad" on the day of the wedding (and yes, I haven't forgotten-wedding posts next week!) but then the second we went on our honeymoon (and yes, posts on that as well) my face exploded with acne. EXPLODED. I would venture to say my face is the worst it has ever looked.
Every time I put have to touch my face to put on sunscreen or itch my cheek I get grossed out. There is not a smooth patch of skin on my cheeks. So what is a girl to do? Well a dear friend that I was lucky enough to meet via the blogosphere had written me an email months ago about how she too struggled with acne but had actually been diagnosed with rosacea. I think it was the fact that I had wedding planning behind me that I was able to remember her email and something clicked. Maybe I have rosacea. Could it not be acne at all?!
Well now I am all fancy and have great insurance thanks to my husband ;) and I made an appointment with a dermatologist for this Thursday. I've got such a great spread of emotions going into the appointment. On the one hand I am excited to possibly get an answer to this problem and finally put it behind me. On the other hand, I am nervous that this dermatologist won't have any answers and I will be stuck with this acne.
So we'll see peeps, I will-as always-keep you posted.

I'm thinking about you and hoping you get the answers you deserve. Keep me posted and if you have any questions, problems, etc - just drop me a line. Even during the appointment if need be! Good luck!
I'm so sorry to hear that none of those things have worked. How discouraging. Good luck with your appt, I hope you get some answers!
