Ain't Love Grand?!

As I walked down the stairs I searched myself for nervousness, if it was there I wanted to be aware of it. But instead I found so much love, so much gratefulness, so much excitement. I heard all the guests gasp and cheer as on and Frank made their way down the aisle to wait for me.

I thought of my big purple aura and how there was no doubt in my mind that Jon and I were surrounded by an amazing amount of love today. I was hiding behind a corner as my little flower girls walked down the aisle. I slipped my arm through my dad's as the coordinator signaled that it was time for us to go. I was so calm, I was so ready.

I will never, for as long as I live, forget walking down the aisle. To have all of those you have laughed and loved with stand up and face you with the biggest smiles you have ever seen is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. So many different facets of my life all in one room, sharing in so much joy! It was exactly what I imagine heaven must be like. I looked at the crowd of those I love and then my eyes settled upon Jon.

Once my eyes met his I couldn't look anywhere else. I couldn't think of anything else other than how much I love him and it was just as fantastic as you would imagine.

I sheepishly admit that for as much as I love weddings I have long thought it odd when people say their wedding day was the best day of their life. It was slightly cliche to me. But I can honestly tell you that being surrounded by loved ones and seeing Jon at the end of the aisle easily sealed our wedding day as the happiest day of my life.
