Do you guys remember that episode of Sex and the City where they talk about single behavior that each woman has? They specifically talked about behavior that every woman has that they would not want their significant others to see them doing, ex: Charlotte liked to look at her pores under intense magnification. I can't honestly say that I don't think I have behavior that I would not like Jon to be party to(oh wait, yes there is-facial hair removal) but there are things that I could spend hours doing all by myself.
Jon borrowed a video game from a friend and was eager to play it, so last night he indulged in his "single behavior" and played video games to his heart's content. I wasn't totally interested in watching him play said game so I took part in some single behavior myself. I sequestered myself in our bedroom with the laptop, some magazines and books and a glass of red wine. I propped myself up amongst a bunch of pillows and enjoyed some wine, reading and viewing of Real Housewives of New Jersey (isn't that Theresa a wackadoo?!) and Celebrity Ghost Stories (which probably wasn't the best idea-hello nightmares).
I so enjoy spending time with Jon (obvi) but it is really nice sometimes to just spend time doing things that only I enjoy.

Haha, I did that exact thing Saturday night but add ice cream into the mix :-)
I like to basically do that -- reality TV, magazines, etc. -- and I also spend a lot of time tweezing my eyebrows.
Scrap booking and baking. (and no I don't prefer Joe over my shoulder asking to taste the dough every step along the way) ;)
As much as I love Aaron, I really enjoy when we go our separate ways once in a while! I love pouring a glass of wine and watching some of my trashy reality shows while I wear comfy yoga pants. He's usually playing video games too :)
my single girl behavior is very much crappy TV and dancing around the apartment singing like a crazy person. it's quite lovely really.
W.E.L.D.E.R. on the ipad, ice cold water in a tall Tervis tumbler, feet up in a quiet house with all kiddos sleeping!
Hand to God, I was just thinking about this subject and considering writing a blog post about it myself. While I'm not currently betrothed, some of my behaviors that I keep to myself are: Hogging the bed (God help the man that wants to share my Queen), listening to the same song on repeat if I like it (hello, Goyte's "Somebody I Used to Know"), and recreating the dances from Dancing With the Stars in my living room. That last one is probably why i'm still single. :)
