Happy New Year my friends! I hope you all had a great/safe time ringing in the new year. As you might remember I had started to do 26 acts of kindness in honor of the victims of the Sandy Hook school tragedy. Here is the continuation of that list. :)
#7 Ana Marquez-Greene
I treated our mail lady to a groupon for a manicure.
#8 Dylan Hockley
I bought a hot chocolate and sandwich for a homeless person.
#9 Dawn Hocksprung
I made paper snowflakes for the kids of Sandy Hook so that when they return to school it will be decorated like a winter wonderland-you can read about it here.
#10 Madeleine Hsu
I wrote a note of encouragement for a friend that needed it.
#11 Catherine Hubbard
I bought a sandwich for a homeless person outside of Barnes and Noble.
#12 Chase Kowalski
I wrote a condolence letter to the first responders of Newtown, CT.
#13 Jesse Lewis
I picked up yoga props after class for my classmates.
#14 James Mattioli
I helped a woman in BevMo more her stuff to the newly opened check stand.
#15 Grace McDonnell
I bought a more expensive product because it supports breast cancer research.
#16 Anne Marie Murphy
Jon and I chatted with a homeless woman after we gave her some money to dry her clothes and blankets off.
#17 Emilie Parker
Saved up a bunch of bottles and cans and then gave them to someone that was already cashing in their cans and bottles-they were so excited.
#18 Jack Pinto
I am making a real effort to smile at strangers when I walk by. People have almost shocked smiles on their face.
#19 Noah Pozner
While grocery shopping I spied a homeless man outside. I went over to him and asked him what he would like to eat. I then went inside and bought him a wrap and a large bottle of water.
I still have 7 more acts to do but I am looking forward to it! Good attracts good and it feels so wonderful to be putting good out in the world and hoping that it is paid forward. Have you done any random acts lately?
