So if you follow me on twitter you may have heard that I treated myself to an Erin Condren planner. I received an email today letting me know that it is on its way to me-I'm pretty excited. I love honest to goodness, pen on paper planners (say that ten times fast). I have attempted to use my phone as a way to keep all of my to do lists, appointments, goals, workout log, but I just didn't take to it. Oh well, can't say I didn't try. I've been using paper planners ever since before technology gave you an option. In middle school and high school I would write down all of my homework assignments and in college I did the same. There is something about writing things down that makes me more committed to following through in contrast to typing it in somewhere. And oh how gratifying it is to cross something off of a list on paper!
So as I said my Erin Condren planner is on her way to me and I am thrilled. Does anyone else get the same rush out of new stationary? Another odd quirk I have noticed? I keep all of my old planners (since 2009). I'm not sure why, but it is a nice feeling to have years worth of planners to look through if I wanted to (and yes, I have done that a couple times). It is interesting to me to see what was going on years ago, times that were particularly busy or stressful-now that I am so far past those stressful times it helps me remember that all of today's stressors will one day be behind me and not seem so intense and all encompassing.
So what do you prefer? Paper or technology based when it comes to planners? Yes, I really want to know!
